I am interested in black headers for a 360 and maybe my 440 as well. JEGS and others have Hedman headers in heat resistant black. TheHTC Hi-Tech Coated only come silver. Does anyone have an opinion on how well the black painted Hedman's hold up (retain their color)?

Hooker offers a black painted header as well and also a "Darkside" black ceramic question. I was wondering if they hold up or is the more expensive darkside ceramic ones a better buy. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

The regular paint on the Headman's will eventually burn off and they will rust. You can't compare that paint to the ceramic coating. I've heard some folks have had good luck with bbq paint.

it's the best solution short of going stainless. Dont forget, with the ceramic coating you also get reduced engine compartment temps.

yep, Headman black eventually burns off and rusts... Ceramic is the way to go.
