Hey folks. Well since I yanked the entire front end off of my '69 Charger I thought I'd replace the little bits and pieces too. I bought a set of headlight adjusters and I was assured that they were the correct ones, but when I line them up with my old ones they're configured in a completely different way. Did I buy the wrong ones? Are the ones on my Charger wrong? Thanks in advance...

Turn the base around... they only set them together to ship that way..

Ok thanks, I figured as much. Now if you dont mind my asking, how do you take the original ones out? I don't see a way to get them out without destroying the bases of the adjuster. Thanks again...

Excellent, thank you, I just popped a couple of them out. I have to say, that looks really hard to do from the other side of the grille support!

Ok so I think I screwed up here. Are the headlight buckets interchangeable or do they belong in specific locations on the grille support? I just assumed that they were all the same so I didnt bother to notate which bucket went where. They all look the same to me! I do see some part numbers though, such as:

*HI LO 5 RT

*HI LO 5 LT 889

*HI 5 RT

*( I cant read the 4th one)

I assume that the 1st one goes in the low beam spot on the passenger side? Second one goes on the low beam spot on the driver's side, etc?

Any information is appreciated, thanks in advance...

Mine had paint marks on each that were likely to help the assembly line workers. Set your bulbs in them to distinguish high beam from low and then match them up to the fender from left to right. I believe that the trim rings will all index the same on the fenders also. They are also position specific.

Yep, the HI/LO's are your outers (RT=PASS) and the HI's are your inners. I show this in my Bee restoration as does Justin (Moparnation74) in his.

Wow thanks for sharing those beautiful shots! On another note, are the insides of your fenders, in front of the grille support, body color as well? I just shot it in black but if its supposed to be body color I can do that as well...

Charger may be different, but I'm fairly certain the Coronet is that way. Took a lot of arm twisting just to get me to black out my B5 rad support and headlight bucket area.. LOL
