I am trying to repair a 72 headlight motor . I pulled everything apart (except for the stator winding because the screws are rusted shut) The rotor can spin .Well i should say it turns when i turn the knob on the bottom of the motor. When testing , the motor drew current . So my two options are a stuck rotor or a shorted circuit. i pulled what i could out and rust has had a serious influence on the internals. I am hoping its just a stuck rotor but i was wondering if anyone has any tips or experience in this field. This is my first time and im just figuring it out as i go along. Can i even buy parts for this motor?

Keep watching ebay...

Even though they sometimes go for $50-$150, I have bought two for less than $25, and they both test good.
