I have installed my new headliner, and now attempting to put the metal band at the top by the windsheild with the horizontial metal pieces with that have two legs that stickinto the roof of the car, thus holding in the headliner and provide a place to screw in the metal trim piece. What is the secret to getting these back in?? anybody know the trick if the peices are spread too wide it wont go in the hole, if they are to close together it falls right out? do you just give up and use super glue or is their a way to get these to snap on, I have fought witthis problem for over an hour and got only two to fit in right?: I must be getting feeble, please share the secret on this? thanks CD

Thank you Hit it!

I really appreciate the link, I have got 3 in and 3 that are not co-operating,:angryfire: might have to find some new ones, my 1969 is a bit different design and there are 6 instead of 4 wish me luck:( thanks much!! CD

We just did ours with the windsheild in and yes, you will need a pair of small bent needle nose pliers. Pretty easy once you the hand of it. Get new clips, the old set are usually a pain to work with.

Thanks Guys!
