Indeed. That near 3 second beat down of the 426 is crazy. Especially when you see the gap at the line around 3:05 on the video. It was like watching Secretariat spank Sham at the Belmont.
Not sure how much truth there is to it but I heard something about nhra waiving the cage requirement after a certain model year because of improved factory safety. Most likely BS though haha
And agreed, a *stock* 426 vs a supercharged, tuned, fuel injected modern car with at least a couple hundred more horsepower? Could've seen that coming. Who runs a stock 426 anyway? lol
