Hellcat versus 71 426 hemi in the quarter

Let's hope it doesn't have some sort of stupid traction control that you can't shut off...

As much as I like the idea..I still prefer the old school...

And you are right about that roll cage option..10 seconds on the street with no cage? Airbags only do so much Dodge..time to cut down on passenger space..;)

Gas Monkey is doing a crap load of Dodge SRT promos

Thanks 70rr-brian for posting that video.
Amazing isnt it?

Indeed. That near 3 second beat down of the 426 is crazy. Especially when you see the gap at the line around 3:05 on the video. It was like watching Secretariat spank Sham at the Belmont.

We kind of knew the outcome but I would like to see it again with a couple of professional drivers...

Not sure how much truth there is to it but I heard something about nhra waiving the cage requirement after a certain model year because of improved factory safety. Most likely BS though haha

And agreed, a *stock* 426 vs a supercharged, tuned, fuel injected modern car with at least a couple hundred more horsepower? Could've seen that coming. Who runs a stock 426 anyway? lol

Lets compare apples to apples, someone must have a supercharged 426 they can line up against the 4400lb challenger..

It was an apples to apples in my book. Stock versus stock. A 392 would have put a 1.3 second beat down on that 426 being normally aspirated.
