HELLLLLP !.. need door lock linkage

hi guys... i was working on my car today (1970 Road Runner) ..and i discovered WHYYYYY i cant unlock the doors with the key. I am missing the linkage rods on both sides.

its the linkage that goes from the door cylinder to the locking mechanism so the doors can be locked or unlocked by using the key. i need the linkage for both doors. im guessing its about 3 inches long.

can anyone help a bruther out?? pm me or answer on this thread and i will get ahold of you. thanx a million !:headbang:

The plastic clip probably broke and dropped the linkage down inside the door. The plastic clips are available. Look around in the bottom for a heavy bent wire type linkage section.

thanx big bad dad but i checked inside both doors and i bought all new clips. its not in the door. it has been tampered with and being that those linkage rods look to be a pain in the butt.....they just didnt put them in. i found some on ebay for an "A" body . i wonder if these will work. MAN I HATE BEING STUCK LIKE THIS !!!grrrrrrrrrrr

Hey Dog,
they are a breeze to put in. I found that mine were missing on my 69 RR a few weeks back. Posted in the parts wanted section and had them in hand in no time!! I'm sure you'll find some on the forum...but you may want to put another post in the wanted section for more exposure.

i was worried about that......i knew a charger wouldnt work but hopeful that a 4 door would...thanx!
