My name is Tom, and I’m a life long upstate SC resident and B body fanatic. I’ve had numerous GTX’s, Roadrunners and Satellites, but mostly the fuselage styled bodies. I’ve dreamed all my life of owning my dream 71 bird, but have never quite achieved that, so last summer, I sold 2 cars I never thought I’d sell (a 71 EV2, air grabber, 4 speed car that was all matching and original, but very rusty, and a 73 SSP, P code, 4 speed that was also all matching and mostly original) and decided to build my dream bird from a virtually rust free 71 Satellite that I had stored in a barn, so I’ll be asking lots of questions regarding stuffing a crate elephant in it......I’m certain there is lots of combined experience here to help guide my effort.
Thanks FBBO for giving us a place to gather, and thanks in advance to any and all who offer guidance. I’ll get some pics of my ugly duckling this weekend and come back and post those ......hopefully some day I’ll have pics of the beautiful bird she’s destined to become!
