Hello everyone - glad to have found this informative group. I have a rusty but running '67 charger with a non-original '69 440 I've been slowly working on for years. Would love to make some progress (with your help!) and get it on the road this year.

I'm located in Washington DC but the car is in Southern Maryland where I spend my weekends. Would really value any recommendations for good body shops / Mopar mechanics in the area. My biggest challenges are sorting the electrics and getting the rust repaired.

Looking forward to being part of your group and getting this car back on the road.

Welcome. Attachment error.

What part of SOMD? I am in the Leonardtown area. There are a couple body shops within the Leonardtown/ Mechanicsville are that do this kind of work. Some higher $$$ than others. Depends on the level of finish you are after.

Hello from West Virginia! Don't have any info on body shops in your area but I'm in the Charleston, WV area if you want to go that far.

Thanks for the greetings everyone - the car needs floor work, quarters, wheel arches and some small areas here and there. I'm looking to build a fair driver and more interested in getting it in decent rust/free shape and moving on to the mechanical. stuff I enjoy more. Any recommendations in the Maryland/ Virginia area are greatly appreciated

Dako, the car is actually in Leonardown! So any recommendations in the area would be great.

I'm on a tight budget but more interested in doing it right then it being pretty. I can also do a lot if the dissassembly / prep work I just don't have the right space to do any body work myself.

Thanks Bill - that's a bit further out than I can go at the moment but If I can't find anything closer I might ask you for some recommendations. Great looking roadrunner btw - that's a great color combo.

Welcome from Indiana. Seems like a lot of early Charger owners on here.

Welcome to FBBO from NorCal

The guy who did my body/ paint no longer does it. A buddy had a car bodywork /paint done at Artworks In Motion. They can do it all. A neighbor had his done by a Menonite off Maypole Rd. He got a great deal. I'll try and get the info.

There are others...But I can't speak to their work.

Hey DC67, I am also in Southern Maryland.. I have a shop at my house, and you are welcome here any time. I don't do bodywork at my shop, but I have connections in the area to send you to..
Welcome to the Madness !!

Interesting - would love to know the menonites info. If you get it. I've had good experiences working with them on carpentry projects. Wasn't aware of artworks in motion but I'll look them up. Thanks again for the info.
