Long time MOPAR fan...I have owned several over the years and each has had its own unique charm. First was a 65 A100, and then 68 Road Runner, 75 Coronet, 68 GT Dart, 74 Fury, 84 Shelby Charger, 87 Shelby Charger Turbo, 70 Charger, and now a 68 Charger. I bought my 68 Charger from Texas Toy Box and it was absolutely not what they said it was...long story short...go see a car in person before you buy from an online source. So now I am in the process of re-building this 68 Charger the way I want it... It came with a 383 that was pretty tired so I bought a 440 out of a motorhome and had it bored 30 over and deck milled 10. Put in all forged balanced bottom end from 440Source (512 stroker crank, rods, and pistons). Ported and polished rebuilt 452 casting heads...ran out of money to do what I wanted on the top end and was anxious to get it back on the road. Rebuilt A833 and 489 rear with 3.23 gear and Suregrip. New springs, torsion bars, and shocks. New 4 core aluminum rad with 2 12 inch electric fans. Holly carb, starter, fuel pump, alt...basically lots of stuff so that it would be a shorter list of the stuff that I did not change. I plan on getting a pair of aluminum heads, bigger cam, headers, and fuel injection but that'll have to wait for now... I rebuilt the original 383 so I can always keep the car on the road while I screw with one engine or the other. I think it is important to always have your car drivable...there are way too many non-running project cars around.

Wowwwwwww, that's the best Charger **** I've seen in awhile. :D Welcome aboard! You're going to fit in just fine around here.

Welcome to the site and nice Charger! Heard a lot of horror stories about Texas toy box on here, how bad was the car when you got it?

And x2 about the driveable projects, I've had my Charger for almost a year and a half and I'm just now grtting closer to driveable.

Nice 68 Charger welcome to FBBO
