I am Matt and I have come into possession of a 1971 Dodge Charger R/T with 440 Magnum. I am in the process of arranging trucking. If this is anything like the Porsches that I have worked on/ restored...you will be seeing me a lot !
Welcome to the gang.
A few things that we like here:
Mopars
Nekkid women.
People that have a sense of humor.
People that post pictures of their projects.
People that give updates on their projects.
People that, when they ask for advice, sometimes follow it, then report back how it worked out. (Good or bad)
Passable grammar skills. Being a Porsche guy, you are already ahead of the game, I suspect.
Click one of the icons in the lower right corner if they are appropriate.....The THANKS, LIKE or AGREE buttons are preferred. Save the DISAGREE button for guys like "Yahtzee".......

Hey thanks for the warm welcome ! A little more info about myself. I am not young, but not dead yet either. I retired from the U.S. Army six years ago with just under 30 years ( including my initial hitch in the Navy). I have always been a Mopar man, but have owned over 50 vehicles. I have done some minor restoration work and enjoy wrenching on cars. I was the owner/team manager for 2 lo-buck endurance racing teams and was a consultant for new teams trying to break into racing.
I have always wanted a 440 charger, and this one fell into my lap....I couldn't turn it down. You see my son's father in law had a brother that owned the car. He recently passed away. He doesn't do a lot of work on his cars (I tuned the carb on his 58 chevy when it was not running well). He decided that I should have his late brothers car, so he gave it to me. His brother had started a minor repaint and refresh, but 6 years passed and he just nver got back to it.
I am very honored and pleased to own it now and he and I talk almost daily about it. His only stipulation to the deal is that it remain in the family when I decide to pass it on.....to my son and his daughter. That is a deal I couldnt refuse.
So I have a couple more photos to share. This is my starting point.
