Finally got myself a 71-72 charger. Since i was 12, my father was a large Mopar fanatic and had a 70 charger but for some reason ive loved the 71-72 more. I recently was able to afford a 72 charger SE. She needs lots of work but for a 4200$ price tag, i had to take it. Im not a mechanic but do know enough to do majority of work so you can say a overall a back yard mechanic. SO onto the car
72 charger SE
69 440 charger engine
727 leaking transmission without a kickdown cable
freshly rebuild 410 geared rear end
Small bolt ons here and there but the main selling point was the brand new within last 3 months are rims/tires with 50miles on them, all new white leather seats (front and rear), all new steering box and all steering componets, new alternator, new billet disty with msd box, new brakes all around with booster, new 800cfm carb, new battery purple something cams, and 1yr old all new exhaust from flowmaster 2.5in dual all back. ALL RECEIPTS INCLUDED IM HAPPY plus i drove it home for that price.
Plan i started was install kickdown cable as its needed, new trans pan gasket, and remove and sell all my hideaway headlight stuff as i already started to make a nice custom lightweight(1.2lbs) aluminum grill setup instead to save weight. Grind off all bracket tabs exc on bumper to get ready for a re-chrome.
ANYWAYS, just wanted to say hello and expect to see me buying and selling parts to build one of my "dream" cars. Im pretty helpful in electronics and wiring but wont be too experienced in helping on the forums for a little while till i get that - been there, done that ... or this is what i did or how i did it...
