help 64 polara

so heres the deal i have a 64 polara with a push button trans. i bought a 72 440 out of an rv. i have all the parts to put it in but the thing still wont go in the motor doesnt sit on the k frame properly and my manifolds hit my stering any help would be greatly apreceated

do you have the motor mounts on the correct sides? Are you using the stock trans? Are the manifolds for the car or the rv?

i have them on the correct side the manifolds are from a road runner and its a big block push button 727

What engine was in the Polara before you tried installing the 440?

it has a center sump stock oil pan and it was a poly 318
