Hi,
Newbie here. I searched out this site 'cause I knew MOPAR folks have GOT to have their support net. Although I do not own a vintage MOPAR, they are the first cars I learned to drive and, frankly, my heart is still with them.
Fast forward to today. A good neighbor is heavily into totally restoring a '69 Charger R/T 440, single 4-barrel, 4 speed car. I have never worked on them and he is asking me how to properly mate the throwout bearing to the clutch fork on his 4 speed. His plan is to mate the tranny to the bell housing and to the engine on the floor and install as a unit (the car's front clip is not installed...just the inner front fenders).
I had not seen a throwout bearing like he showed me (used to small block Chevys).
Can someone point me to the "how to" on this install? Perhaps a visual is available. That would be ideal.
Again, apologize for joining and right away asking for help. This neighbor is not too much of a computer jock. In fact we both have been born too early
Appreciate your response.
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Jim
