help decode vin/fender tag on my dads 64

can anyone lend a hand please? having a real hard time with the fender tag.

3441209927

best i can tell that means
plymouth v8, sport fury, 1964, lynch road mi.

cant seem to figure out how to decode the fender tag. Attached is a picture of it. Any help would be Greatly appreciated. we were told the car originally had a push button auto... but it has a 4spd in it and a hump in the floor for it so we are confused in general.

still have no idea how to break this down. wedgie, those sites didnt help very much.

the first site didnt have ALL the codes at all. most of the ones on our fendertag werent even on it. or Im just doing it wrong??? anyone know someone I could call to get assistance with this?

Just painted the engine bay and put the 383/4spd in it.

AB/06 = engine code / 383 HP
C /5= Auto Trans
J/5 = heater with defrost
N/3 and R/1 dont show in book...if have build sheet would have to bounce off that with rest of options you see on car.

Those reference sites are great but from 62-65 each plant used different locations on fender tag for options, each year and plant was different. Very confusing. I've got a couple build sheet examples of 64's and tags I'll look on to see if any other codes match.

I've been using goviers white book which is great but even with it, stuff still gets confusing.

Carrmann, also most of the codes located on these tags don't translate to anything option related and readable to us. For instance the codes under numbers on top of tag....information used within plant for ??? As far as have ever seen there's not any info in those.

Did you try under the dash, on top of the glove box. They will tape the good one there. Broadcast sheet or card, they were called back then.
