I have a 66 Charger, 383HP with factory air and have posted on the 66/67 forum seeking a picture of the correct line running from the compressor to the condenser. My car has what I believe is a replacement rubber hose and runs thru the core support rather than over the support which is what I now believe is correct. Have not been able to get a complete picture of how it looks going over the support if that is correct for this car. And...I would need help trying to find the line since it has some complex bends and of course a flex hose off the compressor. It's a long metal line crossing the radiator support to the passenger side. If anyone knows for sure what this line looks like and/or where I might obtain one it would be very helpful. I dislike the look of the current rubber line and would like to keep this car as original as possible. This line might be on all B body cars of the era but I don't know that either. Picture is what I have now. Any additional info/contacts much appreciated.

I may have one
I'll try to get a picture later today

There are two links here w/o comment. Not sure what that means. GTX 6970...would appreciate it too if you know what should be there. Hope you have one. Probably any B body of the early 60's is going to be the same or similar but any metal line has to be better than this rubber one. Looks like maybe a hole was cut to allow a smoother pass thru. It was done well which made me think that maybe the metal line also passed thru the hole rather than over the top. Oval hole belled out some to relieve stress. It's got me guessing though. This is one very long line. Had one good picture on the 66/67 site but lacked the corner shot. Looked at restorations of cars on line and just don't see the early Charger.

Here's one picture. You can see most of the steel line. I will see if I can find a better one.

That means the person's name that was linked may be able to help. If you are looking for parts, you need to start a Parts Wanted thread in the Marketplace Forums. ..

Actually I was looking for pictures, not parts. The parts would come after I know what I need. I believe I just got the answer from qkcuda. Great pictures and should be what I need to start posting for parts. I just need to figure out how I can save those pictures and then use them to post. Thank you to "Cuda" . The lines shown look a little larger than I expected and appear to have a copper coating. Maybe the outer galvanized? coating is gone.

BTW, if this is stock it looks like the hood release cable on mine was rerouted on top and may have been in the support hole where these pictures show the cable. That would make some sense of how the hole is cut. Any confirmation on that? Disregard that last comment. Looking at mine again it's going thru the support as well. Doh!

Your title and first post tells me something different.

Rereading I can see how you came to that conclusion. Sorry for the confusion. I KNEW what I wanted. Pictures. Just did not word it correctly.

Probably a good idea although I may have what I was looking for now. No need for someone seeing the first post later on and replying. One member indicated he was looking to see if he had one, I assume for pictures, but I have not heard about that yet. If he has the part even better.

Let me do this, I will shut the other thread off for comments. It will still be there for viewing so the photos and info won't be lost for you.

The line you seek is 1966 - 1968 Big block B bodies ONLY

Thank you. That indeed is a crooked road to follow. Now to find one. I will save these pictures for reference.
