HELP ID this odd K Frame...

Has anyone seen these round, numbered metal discs welded to a k-frame? Also, looks like the part number is 3079-2...the number on the disc is 79...any correlation? This is a big block frame by the way. Thanks.

looks pre 70 big block k frame and they look like weights maybe used for a race class, be my first guess

That is a 1970 + k frame, and the numbers on the disc are in fact the last 2 numbers of the part number. 79 is the 440 B body one. should have a skid plate.

you sure cause it looks identical to my 68 frame.
mine doesnt have those plates welded on though

MY 7O RR has a metal disc on it....but the number is 09...or 06....could be read either way! has a factory 383 if that helps!
