Going to look at my first b-body and wanting to get some info as what to look for.It is a 65 coronet 440 silver in color, new floor pans, dissasembled engine, supposed to be a 76 400?Any way Im wondering how many colors were offered on these cars?Dont know if its origanal color nor how to id anything on the car to see what color it was.I am going to check the car out fully but what areas do you all suggest I need to pay particular attention to?Mechanical Im not to worried about but rust is a major pain.Any and all pointers are highly appreciated, want my net in a bad way but dont want a total restore to start off with. Thanks

Look at the cowl, trunk pan, lower front fenders, rear quarters, rear glass channel, front glass channel, inner fenders, frame rails, and lower door edges. Did I forget anything???

Check the fender tag! It will give you the original paint code.Bottom line on the right. You will be able to tell what the car came with from the factory! eng.trans.interior etc.

Floors, if it had a vinyl top the C pillars, fender splash guards, fender supports, I've even seen K members with rust holes.
Silver was an available color in '65.
