I'm at the point where I need to buy wheels and tires for the 63 Dodge Polara "Max Wedge" that is "soon" to be painted. (Fingers crossed, 3 1/2 years later Ha Ha). What size tires and wheels can fit? Note: Has not been "tubbed".
Thanks , Super-bee_ski

do you want to know what is correct to clone the car, or 'will fit' available space???

correct came with 14 x 5.5 with optional 14 x 6.5 on rears

I would like to go w/ 15" and as big in rear as possible. I'm looking into Coker Tires, Red Lines...

On my 63 Fury, the back wheels are 8.5 X 15 with 4.5 BS and 0 Offset with a 275-60R15

I have .75" clearance to the outer wheel well with the stock 63 housing.

Front has 15 X 7 3.5" BS and -12 mm offset and fits Front discs perfectly.
Tires are 235-60 R15

The rear has to be jacked up from the subframes to unload the springs in order to get the rear
wheels and tires out.

Hope this helps!

I use 15's in the front and rear. The front are just a standard radial tire that is 215/75-15 and the rear are 30 x 9 x 15 Hoosier radial slicks which I drive on the road all the time. Front wheels are 6" Torque Thrust and rear are 7" with I think a 4.25 backspace. I dont remember the backspace on the front wheels. Ron

Thanks to rrowdy and 383man!
I'm installing the Front End tonight so Phoenix Auto Body, Calif-City CA can paint it. Pictures soon to come.

Still planning on the Blk/Red? Should look awesome with that big Orange 440 MW under the hood.

I'm in the process of building a 400/451 for my 63, seems like a never ending project.

Good Luck!

Your 400/451 will be a screamer! Cant wait to see how it runs.
Yes rrowdy, I purchased the paint last september to try to get Phoenix Autobody, Calif-city, CA to "move" and get it done. It is going Black exterior / Red exterior. Like yours! A great color combo.
I missed out on a gorgeous 64 Polara in Phoenix, AZ. It was a Saturday & I could not get him the $$ till Monday May 14th. I missed it being 450 miles away! Oh well,
Pics to come soon rrowdy!
