Help with 66 Satellite Hood adjusters?

I have a 1966 Satellite, the hood rattles.
The front hood adjusters are in place, but I noticed the the mounts in the rear corners of the engine bay are empty. Can anyone tell me which adjuster or bumpers go in the rear?
Where can I get them?
A picture would really help.

I did a search before asking.
This old unanswered thread came up.
I suspect that he needed the same adjusters that I need because I have a 67 with the same bracket that I've pictured here for reference of a 69.
(Except the 67 brackets I need them for are "naked")
Is there no source for these? I have been unable to find any online.
I've seen "kits" of bumpers though.
These pictures are from an original, "unmolested" 69 Road Runner.
I'm sure this is what it left the factory with.

Do I have to "improvise"???

I know the rubber is replaceable aftermarket, can't say about the adjusters but would think that they are universal. Just snag a few next time you go junkin.

I'm afraid my junkin days are behind me. 15 years ago, I spent hours in the local Pull A Part building two A bodies. I've got enough spare A body parts to build another car.
Now I've just go too much on my plate.
And if I went to a junk yard I probably would either not find them or they wouldn't be any better than what you see in the picture.
I'm thinking I could make some out of machine screws, but where is the rubber on the internet?
This looks like it might have them in it?
Guess I'll order and find out if no one has any other ideas.

I'm sure any of the Mopar supply resto places will have these rubber bumpers for them. I'll ask Cr8crshr as he may have some, maybe even the studs? Will report back.

Well first off, those appear to me to not be the correct bumpers at that spot. That type is used at the front 2 corners. It appears to me that a previous owner at some time decided to improvise and adapt those to the rear corners using generic screws and nuts and then attaching the bumpers that are for the front corners to those screws. What is actually used is a smaller permanent rubber bumper that fits into the hole and is secured by a rubber protrusion that expands when inserted in said hole. Looking closely at the pics you supplied it looks as though this was an attempt to cut a corner and use items not correct at all. I see this type of "gerry rigged" shade tree BS all the time. I happen to have the correct bumpers for both the front and rear corners as well as the 4 bumpers/2 per side that go along the hood channel that the hood rests in when closed. I am betting dollars to doughnuts that I am correct on this. Let me know if you want the set for the hood bumpers and I will get a price to you. Not a lot mind you as they are not an item worth their weight in Gold. On a side note that hood in your pics looks pretty rough so a new replacement might also help in fitment and stop the rattling. Those pictures don't look right to me either, that's why you can't find a source for them. I also have a spare kit for all the under the hood rubbers. PM if you need it.

The slotted screw head pretty much gives it away.

FYI I believe all of those are available on RockAuto. I think that is where mine came from.

Ah ha.
I thought machine screws were odd.
But other than headers, carb and intake the car really seems unmolested.
It even came with the original wheels intact.
I ASSumed.
But that hole in the bottom of the bracket looks like it is provided to accommodate a stud going downward. That's my excuse.

So they aren't "adjusters". Just bumpers go into the small upper hole.

I can order a kit now with the rubber bumpers in it now.

Replacing (installing if they are missing) the 'side bumpers'...the ones that go along the fender sides...are what's going to stop the rattling. They are what keep the hood from moving side-to-side.

Replacing those adjusters with the correct bumpers sets the rear hood height to match the cowl.
