Does anyone have a US car tool uni lift? I would like to fab something to help with the install of my k member and motor.

if you assemble the k-member with the brake assembly and motor you can lower the car over the assembly to do the install instead of from the top. I would just rent an engine hoist for the day or buy one ($250)

Superfreak,

I have everything together just trying to make up something to lift the front end so I can slide it from under the car.

I would like to make something like this. I just need to know how long the pieces have to be from the bumper bracket mounts to the tee.

Then I imagine you have an engine hoist already correct? Everything looks very nicely done

That is a good setup but the longer it is then the the higher it will need to be lifted. Why not make a U-shaped bracket that can go on the inside. if that bracket was a foot away it would work fine.

I figured the longer I make it then I would have more room to wheel it in. You are right I would have to lift it higher.

These are 20 inches total length.

Those will work fine. Put it together and give it a test run before trying it with engine under it. Keep us posted....even though it is just the two of us yaking. lol

You can do it red neck style and use a jack to lift up the front and block it under the frame rails under the fire wall, then remove the jack, roll engine under, then use the jack to lower it back down. I used a skid steer to raise and lower mine.

Just throwing out ideas. Your idea is still better.
