I have an odd leak in the trans.
To summerize, it's a TQ727, year ??, car is a 64 motor is a 69. I had to jack the motor up to remove the header in order to access the head bolts. The leak appreared about a week after I had dropped the motor back on the mounts. It was lifted about 3". Now I have this leak coming out of the shift linkage on the trans case. Front of car is on jack stands. Is this somewhat normal or the doing of the evil mind of a 64 Plymouth set on putting me in an insane asylum?

Are you sure it's coming out of the **** linkage? If it is, there's a seal there that is easily replaced.

The car is a '64,the engine is a '69,what year is the trans?Does it have 2 shifter cables or one?

Not certain the year of the trans, guessing it's a '64 as well. There are two cables, gear selector and the throttle kickdown

If it's gear selector, the kick down sre solid rods.If the gear selector is pointing "UP",it's just a little round seal that can be done in the car!
