helping a friend out

What engine, what trans? Sounds like a lot of money to buy it? What did they do to piss off their father, that he wouldn't consider passing it on to them?

This car is all original. 440 6 pack 4 speed never been painted. 54k original miles. Im not sure if he pissed him off or what happened there. The dad just decided he was going to sell it.

I'm Nick, his son/Raquel's brother from the post. Its a 54,000 mile all original 440-6 track pack car with the 4 speed and 4.10 Dana. And as far as I know we did nothing to piss him off..things were actually going great up until Monday night when he told us the car had been gone since labor day. I work with him everyday and he never even gave me a hint that he was even considering selling it. The only reason he could give us for selling it was that it was 'rotting away'. The only reason that makes sense to me is that he's realizing he can't afford his new wife's lifestyle. I would gladly pay double if I had it. I would do anything to just have the car back in the family.

I still have no explanation for why he didn't at least offer to sell me the car

I think you just answered your own question... I know it seems cold but let us know how it goes trying to extract $75,0000. from strangers for a car. A kidney, lung or heart transplant to help save a life? Maybe. A car? No. Do like the rest of us have had to do. Get a job, work hard, save your money and build a car like it. Trust me, it doesn't know it was a family member...I know, I know, I'm an a**h*le. Maybe, but I've also been around the block a few times and this just doesn't pass the smell test. I guess this is the new "Will work for food" scam...

nicks_88: Thank you for your PM. Your message did nothing to convince me that this isn't a semi-well orchestrated attempt to extract folk's money out of their pocket and into yours. First of all, although you deny it, you DID ask for donations. Second, the car is not yours. It was your Dad's and he was free to do what he wanted with it. There is no 'right of ownership' to your father's property. Third, National Muscle Cars has a financing plan. If you truly are employed and work hard, you or other members of your family should have no trouble qualifying for a loan. BTW, tell your 'sister' that she should be a writer. Her version of the story almost brought tears to my eyes.

Really? If it wasn't legally your friend's car, why should others buy him a car? Social media has so much crap.

"This is a test. If this was a real emergency you would be instructed to place your head between your legs and kiss your *** goodbye"

Yeah, Your asking ME to donate my money to you for a car?

Ha Ha.....

I can think of many things to say right now, but I will refrain.

I especially like this quote: ". The rumble of its start, the classic roadrunner "BEEP, BEEP" (that I always begged to just hit "one.more.time, please, dad?)

What happened to the 70 Coronet you previously posted that dad gave you ? Maybe he thought 1 car was enough .

What? Some people have a lot of nerve. Have some respect for your self dont beg.

I'm begging for your money so I can have a cooler car

:iamwithstupid: anyone want to donate to the finish the B_I_T_C_H 1968 Road Runner,
I'm open to others paying for my car too...

new low
to actually stoops low/to beg {pander/panhandle on a forum} for members/people donations
for a car you probably can't afford,
that was your fathers or friends fathers car,
seems if the story was true your father or the friends father,
would have let you work with him & get financing, if he wanted {either} you to have it...

something's just not right here

we don't even know these parties involved either,
why should/would we care ??

sorry it's just my honest opinion

I thought it was a good try at a Jedi mind trick.

Any contributions accepted as long as they are in larger than $20 bills.

URL is closed. Scam averted...Only a fool and there money would be parted on this one. Get a "FREAKIN LIFE". :icon_fU::angryfire:Almost as bad as the Pan Handlers around my town that say "Please Help, Homeless Vet". When I query them about their alleged Service they take off a runnin'...cr8crshr/Tuck

Too funny Cr8crshr....
I asked a local Viet Nam Vet pan-handler what service he served in....
His answer: "I was Airborne"....
Then he said: "In the U.S. Air Force...."

That was enough for me to realize he was a scammer...no service duty at all...
