In The Crane catalog I have, the “R-292” would be a roller, with the 292 being the duration @.050.
The 4706 is the lobe lift, the -6 the lsa(106).
For example, something from a “recent” Crane catalog:
Part number 669091:
Grind number - R-296/4778-8
Specs are - 328/328 advertised, 296/[email protected], .4778 lobe lift, 108lsa
PR,
What I have is the Crane & Cam Dynamics master lobe specs. The only grind I could find with 292 & 47XX lobe lift is the one in post #3.
Does your catalog have tis specific grind?
I also have a version of the Crane master list I found on line a few years ago....... and interestingly it not only doesn’t have the R-292/4706 lobe in it....... it doesn’t have that R-260/47xx in it either.
The master list I’m looking at has them broken up by lobe “family”, and each family has a designator/name.
For example, that R-296/4778 lobe I referenced is part of the “R2” family.
This is kind of interesting.......
I googled “Crane cams r-292/4706, and a page for a 2014 version of the lobe master catalog came up........ but I couldn’t get it to download.
But if you look at the text....... it shows the R-292/4706 as being in that catalog.
