I don't fool with many reproduction parts, so I have a question. Do the reproduction Hemi exhaust manifolds have date codes and part numbers cast into them? I recently bought a Hemi drivetrain complete with manifolds. The driver's side has a date code of 6/11/69 with the correct part number. The passenger's side is not drilled for choke tube or the heat riser which I know has to be reproduction but has a correct part number and a date code of 6/11/70. I was told that they were probably reproduction, so I wasn't expecting more, but it seems strange that they would be cast with period correct part numbers and date codes. Anyone that have purchased these, let me know your experience in that area. Thanks in advance.

My friend has them on his Hemi Roadrunner and I think I remember him telling me they are reproduced with a limited number of casting dates available or that may be encountered. And they do have the part number on them. I also remember there was a lot of variations on the port sizes - getting larger gradually from front to back - or maybe the other way around - can’t remember for sure. I know the gasket sealing edge of the manifolds was pretty thin on some ports but they did seal up OK.

I pulled them to detail and reseal the engine, and the rear port on the driver's side wasn't blown, but looked like it wouldn't have been much longer. Thanks, that will be something to look closely at.
