Anything assoc. with Carrillo is expensive, usually great quality too,
not sure if it's any higher quality in their piston line thou,
maybe not another $500 worth over a Diamond piston,
{the 14:1 could be a partial reason for extra $$$ they are a custom order}
that use the same materials & same weights as CND'ed on a similar program

Diamond Racing Pistons
Some usually come with pin & locks at no extra charge,
that might be a reason the are cheaper in cost, custom orders are more $$$ like always

I have used Carrillo Rods occasionally, but never their CP brand pistons,
I was partial to JP1, Venolia's or Child & Albert's pistons, rods &rings & bearings,
back in the day, I had to drive down to Long Beach to get them, say hi at-least
Thanks Uncle Joe {Pisano}
may he rest in peace
he gave them to me "usually" if he had them on the shelf
{he's not my real uncle, just a great family friend},
but if they were a custom ordered, rarely did I need them custom spec.s,
that if he didn't have stocked already,
then I'd pay production costs about 60% of jobber/retail was about $100 a hole/slug
without his great help/support,
I
wouldn't have been able to race anywhere near as much as I did back then...
not sure who even owns/runs Venolia or Child & Albert's now,
I haven't dealt with them in years now...
