1966-69 four speed starter, any out there for a reasonable price? Bell housing to fit said starter, even one of those cast steel blow proofs

Some one makes a modern interchange version that is index-able.

WOW, I’d do the Anson if it had the cover but the rest is way out of my range, thanks for looking and finding these items. EBay is always up there like BJackson.
 
The 66-67 hemi bellhousings have a small hole for the front bearing retainer. They used the small front bearing in them. Same with 67 440 HP 4 speeds.

Got both 172 and a 143 11” wheels also the Lakewood blow proof and block saver. It has two starter bolt up positions but not sure one of them is for the Hemi starter

That is what I heard, I have a 70 case with the big bearing, but not a numbers matching car anyway
 
I'm using 10.5" flywheel and using the inner hole on the lakewood shield.

That’s why I posted that didn’t know what you are using for a trans. So you will want a 1968-69 bellhousing with that trans. Or use a 1970 aluminum bellhousing and a gear reduction starter. But it won’t sound correct when cranking it over.
 
Found a starter, rebuilt by Wilson sold thru NAPA for $152 plus a $50 core charge. Says it was originally made by Chrysler. Seems the early cars 62 and down, Dodge truck 67-71 and Canadian built /6 engines to 66 + the Hemi used the same starter

Mine only has one nose hole. But I do have the 10-1/2” flywheel and the 70 bell housing but no 18 spline clutch disc

IIRC the nose cone is different for the Hemi & the 6 cylinder Direct drive has a smaller winding...
 
Wish he had set them up the same way, I couldn’t see what he was saying is the difference. As long as the nose is out the same distance I don’t see a problem unless the 6 has weaker windings
