Hey Kids,

Thought I'd make it official and actually sign in !
Name is Ron out of Beeton Ontario,
I've got WW1 66 Charger 440 6 pac 727 with a custom MHT model kit decals, the Charger is presently being rejuvinated after being hit at a car show in Sept 07 I'm hoping my funds can get me back on the road this year . You may have seen the Charger in the Toronto area Mopar Shows in the past,or in the MCG July 08 issue (mopar collectors guide)

Whole car was stripped and Repainted.....

Dude, I love the style of the car
Well done
the only thing i would have done is removed the emblem from the trunk.
I love the decklid spoiler, very similar to a concept we have been thinking about.

Sorry Grasso but the rear trunk emblem is sort of a 1st gen icon, it would be tough to loose it, The rear spoiler is actually a reproduction rear Hemi spoiler (Factory option) These were introduced by Dodge to cure some of the lift the Nascar Chargers were having trouble with on the high speed ovals.
As I recall these are the first factory rear spoilers available on a Production Car.
I'm still contemplating adding a 1/2" to the height of the spoiler just just for more of an agressive look. It should offset the Chin spoiler I've got for the Charger now.

Welcome ! Love your car! Read the article in MCG. Cool ride!

I hope that guy's family gave him a nice funeral.

they would have had to if he did that to MY car

Trust me I was deeply considering handing out a good whollop I had at least a hundred pounds on the guy,
Fortunatly his constant apologizing calmed the beast in me and I realized it wasn't goint to help matters at all.
The Mopar that was parked beside me had left earlier and I saw the opening between my Charger and the next car too the right, It did occure to me that after the awards were handed out that someone may try to drive thru the new opening. I should have put my Chairs there but I didn't. Normally fellow enthusiast are quite carefull around other peoples cars but luck was not on my side that day.

He tried to sneak out a little early and found a short cut out as he tried to climb a little grassy knowl his drag slicks lost traction so he rolled back to get a bit of a run at it .Apparantly while rolling backwards He had trouble finding first gear and my Charger was used to help complete his gear selection.
Sad but True
So a simple door replacement became a Full repaint and we stripped Big Sugar down......
Time and Money are not on my side now.
This year I'm I'm a little more optomistic that I'll get back on the road, My Enthusiasm level is back where it should be.

Ron

Rob Wolf from MCG did a photo shoot on Big Sugar @ Moparfest 2007 , The car was hit the very next Car show I attended .

Well you know how it goes, you start looking for things to get cleaned up here ,a small chip over here, and before you know it your sanding the whole friggen car !!!

i like the new clean white slate. didnt care for the stripes. my opinion though and not worth much. you may not like my trunk stripe

coronet in garage 026.jpg

Nice Coronet ! That tail strip is OK.
If I do the stripes again it will be a little toned down , The Black on White was a little too contrast especially on Sunny days, I'm thinking of more of a dark slate color. I'll respray the rim centres to match

I like the stripes in black, I think it makes the car, and the wheels are perfect!

oooooo a 1st gen.. me likey lotz!!!!!! welcome.. sorry i am late to the party as usual :)
