hope someone chimes in with some feedback as i would be interested as well so I'm not always putting it on / off for car cover.

I have a Custom Auto Sound radio (am/fm) in my car and bought a hidden antenna from Best Buy. Stuck it on the back of the dash above the glove box. Works great. I even get reception in my garage.

I have a hidden antenna too. I ended up with a NOS fender without a cutout and decided I liked the clean look so found one that works like colorado dave described. I shoved it way up under the dash - as high as possible. Works better than the factory one:

I was looking at the tune trapper but hadn't heard of anyone useing it.

Most say Fm all the time... does it work for am too?

This all sounds good but what do you guys do with the hole on the fender?

Never listen to AM! I just checked it in the garage and no AM - but you do hear a peaceful white noise waterfall that would be relaxing meditation therapy.

I never had one. Got a NOS fender that was hole-less. I would imagine that's how they stamped em and cut hole on the line for cars with radios.

If you did have a hole, I would think it would be good storage for the golf umbrella though IMG00044-20130221-0940.jpg.

I got one from Radio Shack a while back, before they became Cell Phone Shack, that worked really well. It was about four feet long and flexible, and I routed the cable up under the dash pad and around the inside of the edge of the passenger side of the windshield. It was invisible and worked great.

I had it feeding a BCT-7 Beartracker scanner and an AM/FM stereo. Sure miss that Beartracker... they're illegal here in FL. :(

HAHA That's funny1
