Greetings one and all.
New here. Live in Australia
Am the proud owner of a 1972 Dodge Charger Rallye Coupe 440. Factory triple black finish, Believed to be a One Of One, Matching numbers. Mind you during the resto the vinyl roof was not put back nor the flat black hood or gills.
Car is fully documented with build sheet, window sticker and all options are listed on the 2a original fender tags affixed to the inner guard. It is also documented by Galen Govier and is in the official Chrysler registry.
Anyhow my problem, apart from living so far from it's home country :laughing11:, the headlight door actuator, are parts available for them. Particularly the cams inside the motor. If I read the factory workshop book correctly there are different cams that can be put into the motor to adjust the stroke of the doors. No matter how much I adjust I cannot get the cam to open circuit the open limit switches and hence when doors are fully open electric motor still has power to it. Am sparky by trade and have checked inside th the motor cam box and all looks Ok in there. Cam does not travel far enough to open circuit contacts when doors come up against door stops
Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.
