What are the holes in the body behind the rear window at the end of the drip rail for? How do they get covered? My 68 charger has these and they will obviously collect water if not caver somehow but I dont know what goes there. currently I have the window trim on but there is nothing in the rain gutters, should there be? Its not rusted as the car was just redone but I want to get this taken care of before a problem starts. It looks factory. Thanks!

Post a picture of the area in question.

Have the same on my '69 RR - in the bottom corners. They look like they should probably be seam-sealed but they are quite large.

I’m sure I’m missing something but here they are.

Hmmm - not what I was thinking of ! Mine are in the corners of the rear window.

It seems really strange to me...looks incomplete but both sides are identical.

Could it be some provision for cars that originally had a vinyl top and a piece of trim that ended there?

Im kinda wondering that. I thought it was a hard top car, just not sure how to address it since I wont be doing vinyl.

Car seems pretty “done” I’d go low-impact. Maybe a piece of tape or putty with a dab of matching paint on it. Nothing that could screw up what you have.

I had the same issue. Having a vinyl top lessens the gap. I just used 3M strip caulk and closed the opening.
