Those flat rate boxes suck for shipping carbs. Ask me how I know.....

I just has a carb shipped to Canada from Newyork. It was boxed very well, lots of padding. When I got it sounded like a box of busted light bulbs LOL..electric choke housing was in a million peices...

So how does one ship a carb then? This one doesn't have any plastic choke housing on it.

Heavy duty double wall (some call em 3 ply) box and lots of padding. If you have access to a two piece styrofoam block that you can make the carb fit into, that would be good. I do not use bubble wrap because the carb usually ends up popping the bubbles too much. Packing peanuts work but try and put the carb in a heavy duty plastic bag then drop it into the peanuts. Pack for a nuclear disaster and it'll make it unless it gets run over by a forklift :D Anyways, put the carb inside a plastic bad no matter what packing you use.....
