I took apart the manual choke assembly to check the diaphram in the vac pot, everything was going great during assembly I was just fitting the last plate part when a tiny spring and ball fell out, where the heck does this go to? I cant figure it out, help please

can u post a pic? i want to be sure which ball and spring u got. it probably goes in vaccum diaphram

Take a look at both plates that make up the choke body. On one, I think it's the one closest to the carburetor body, you will see a small indention. Now look where the indention would line up on the other side. There's a hole. Drop the spring in it and put the ball on top of the spring. This is the detent that keeps the choke in place when it is opened and keeps it from being sucked closed. If you need further explanation, let me know. I have a bajillion carburetors here I can get you some pics of.
