What is the adhesive material used between the hood and trunk skin and the structural parts?

do you mean the butyl material between the 2 skins?

I think so it fills the gap btw the skin and the structural parts of the hood.

I don't think its butyl as that stays soft.I'm sure 3M makes whatever it is,some guys use construction adhesive in a caulk type tube.
