Hood latch loop

Have 2 different loops. The late one fits E and 71-4B bodies I know. When did they start using the late one on B-bodies. 68? 69?
They do not interchange. Bolt spacing is about an 1/8" off.

I have what appears to be the early one on my 68 R/T ... SPD 911 1967.

This may not help but I was going through and updating/deleting picture files and found a 69 Dart hood with the old style

I believe they may have switched in the middle of 68. I needed a hood on my GTX and remember needing the build date for the correct hood.

My 68-74 crash parts book shows the same part number for all 68-74 B-body hoods. I know that is not correct. The early one will not fit the 71-4 hoods and the late won't fit the 68 hoods. I don't have any 69 or 70 hoods right now so I can't check them.
Brian if you check I think that you'll find that the A-body one is a little different shape than your B-body one.
