I have a '67 Coronet R/T, 440 HP & 727TF. The Intake makes the Carb sit to high to use the stock hood which I don't want to cut up for a scoop. I've acquired a decent '66 Coronet hood that I'm willing to cut. I bought a "Mopar Pro Stock Style" Scoop from Summit. My question is; how far forward of the rear edge of the hood should the scoop be mounted? The R/T fake louvers are only 3 inches from the back edge on the original hood. The new scoop is only 28 & 1/2 inches long. Would that look to hokey sitting back that far? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!:hello2:
