I have a '67 Coronet R/T, 440 HP & 727 TF. The Intake makes the Carb sit to high to use the stock Hood which I'm not willing to cut up. I've acquired a decent '66 Coronet Hood that I'm willing to cut. I bought a " Mopar Pro Stock Style" Scoop from Summit. My question is, how far forward of the rear edge of the Hood should the Scoop be mounted? The R/T fake Louvers are only 3 in. from the back edge on the original Hood. The new Scoop is only 28 1/2 in. long. I would like for it to look correct in placement. Would that look to hokey sitting back that far? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks! :glasses10:

When you are talking pro stock scoops, there is no correct place to put it. It all depends on the owners tastes and how the carb fits in it. If you were buying one of the W-O Hemi scoops that I usually sell on ebay, it would be mounted clear to the back edge and of course centered.

Pics of everything, would help. Opinions will vary. LOL
