Ok so I see some satellites with turn signals on the hood, does anyone know how that option went about ? Which trim got them? How do they install?

I really like those
I believe that they're a Plymouth thing...They're on my 66 Barracuda. Brewers has the kits to rebuild them, if needed. I'm not sure of what option package provided them, but I can't see why you can't add them...Your wiring harness should be ready to receive the connection ( at the front blinker. If the harness is different.....no big deal to piggy-back off the lead. Most important to get the fender holes exactly right. One screw hole, one wire passage hole and one alignment post hole. Find a car like yours and measure careful....you'll be looking at those every time you drive.

What's your car??

Hood or fender turn signals were available on various Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth vehicles.

On my 69 Coronet 440 option ( A01 ) is the light package that includes fender mounted turn signal lights and was included with the (A40) "spring special-B" package for 69 only. Oh and "spring special" was for the time of year they were marketing to sell the car in.

On a 70 satellite they are on the hood. GTX amd RR have them in the rear of the hood. They bolt on. The wires run under the hood pad to the rear of the hood. Then they connect at the firewall to the front harness. They do not connect at the front blinker like the fender mounted ones.

I don’t know if they sell reproductions of them. The wires are extra long for this car only, you could extend wires.

I have a hood here with the holes in it. I could photo it with measurements so you place them correctly.

As far as reproduction items go, there use to be a company by the name of KRZNMOONS, operating out of Johnstown, Pa.....not sure if they're still in business or not.....but they repop'd some really nice looking hood and fender mounted turn signal indicator assemblies complete with bulbs. he link works.... Not inexpensive but VERY GOOD LOOKING......see last post.

I found repros online, I was wondering but I don’t think I’ll add them since Id have to make a hole in the hood. If I get the roadrunner or gtx bulge hood I’ll add those since it has the cut outs

You won't see the fender mounted lights on a 1970 road runner or GTX since their option was in the bulge hood, but they were optional on Belvedere, Satellite and Sport Satellite for that year according to the Plymouth Data Book for salesmen. If you do get the road runner hood, you may as well get those lights too, but make sure you get the proper insert since the holes were blocked off if the light package wasn't ordered.

For those that may be interested in a source for Plymouth FENDER MOUNT AND HOOD MOUNT turn signal indicator assemblies complete. I apologize for the wrong web address for Kursinmoons offerings. The correct address is: www.krusinmoons.com
