hooking up automatic choke wire

Hey all! Just got my engine valve covers on, with my new 750 Speed demon carb. Pretty excited really liked how it turned out. I am having issues though, I do not have the automatic choke wire hooked up and really not sure where to hook it up, any thoughts? I am assuming this is my issue when it is running at idol it sounds like a dream super smooth. But when I get into it a little it dies out like has no power at all... Could this be my issue with the choke not working properly?

I hooked mine up to the key on 12 volt feed at the wiper motor. This is the voltage source that allows the wipers to park when wiper switch is turned off.
If you are running an electric fuel pump to prime the carb when you turn on the key, your electric choke may be fully open before you crank the engine.
