Since I have a new radiator (delivery today ?) with the proper size inlets and outlets...in the proper locations, I am curious as to what are the correct inlet and outlet hoses to use ? If I google the information...it is all over the boards. If anyone can help me get this figured out I would appreciate it.
The necessary info:
1971 Dodge Charger, 440 magnum, 26" radiator with 1.5" inlet (passenger side)and 1.75" outlet (drivers side). Automatic, no-AC. WP housing # 2780987

I looked on RockAuto and yes there are a number of available options.
Do you have the old hoses? Maybe just bring them into your favorite parts store if you like the way they fit.
I think yours would have "extra cooling".

Well, since the old radiator was not for or from this car, I have nothing to compare them to. They are both pretty much "custom", meaning I spent gobs of time just getting 2 hoses to work. I am trying to figure out what came stock, now that the radiator will be correct. That would be my best starting point IMO

OK makes sense.
I have the original 26" from the Plymouth, you could have used that for "mock up" any time.
But since you have one coming...
Let me see what I used on the Plymouth, I know the upper hose was a bit long and it's still not perfect.

I must have bought them over the counter, can't find anything in my computer.

I assume it should look like this? This is a 71 Super Bee

radiator inlet on passenger side
Well, color me stupid!

I always thought the coolant flowed out of the top of the radiator and into the 'stat and the inlet was in the bottom. Well, there is my lesson for the day! Lol

That looks about right. I did however have some flex hoses from when I first got the car. They fit just great.
