Those were the asking prices. They probably sold for less. 1989 is the year I purchased my 70 Bee which had a couple spun rod bearings. Ended up getting it for $600. I turned down more than twice that much on the way home with it while I had stopped to get gas in the tow truck. Back then I found a 70 Charger R/T in good condition, but needing an engine. Guy quoted me $400 for it. I didnt get it either. Man I wish I could go back in time & fix my stupidity.
O boy they were the days, most of them you could buy new for for less than 3000.00 if not all of them.I think the hemi would was much much more If I remember right about $ 500.00 bucks lol haha ya I was one of the *** holes that sent two to the crusher...thanks for the reminding me....the bad part I worked at a bodyshop on the frame rack and doing bodywork and painting.they were totaled or I thut by todays standards now you get a golfball size dent they replace the whole thing.back then it had to be very bad and then you would cut the bottom or cut the fender in 1/2 and weld them back together with a torch and closhanger....ya thanks for the wackup haha lol Artie
