I wasn't able to go either, that's nothing new thou...
If I did it'd be just to meet & greet or spectate anyway,
see old race friends etc.

I'm going next year for sure. Also had plans to go to Pomona in two weeks also but my cousin Danielle just had a baby girl 7.9 lbs.Isabella.My uncle (her father) flew in from Surprise, AZ and is staying till the end of November. we meaning him and I where suppose to go together.
when this baby girl grows up I'm going to tell her how she wrecked our plans LOL..
I'm looking forward to taking her to her first drag race when she's old enough.

I competed with the "AFX/NSS West" group. We had 24 cars booked in for the ReUnion.
By making one of my qualifying runs the "closest" to my 10.50 index I had the best qualifying run of the group. I ran a 10.515, only .015 off my index.
For the weekend I posted times of [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected].
I ran personal bests of:
60' - 1.448
330' - 4.255
660' - 6.646
1000' - 8.733
1320' - 10.512
BAD NEWS WAS: I just wasn't "ready" after I staged on the first round of eliminations and had a TERRIBLE reaction time (they use a .400 Pro-Tree). I ran closer to my index 10.512 on my 10.50 but lost because of my crappy reaction time. I will never, ever again be not "ready" when I trip that stage light.

Hay Mike Congrats, did you have anytime after going out to take in the show? was Don Garlits there advertised ? going to fly out next year.

I made the trip to the CHRR. Great time. Dragsters, funny cars, altereds on nitro !! Cacklefest is always fun, but organization seemed off.
Found Mike in the pits and had a chance to chat and meet a member in person.
