How about strating a thread with pictures of the old Aurora HO slot cars,
Hot wheels collections
Clankers
Match Box cars
Or anything that correlates to the "old toys" car/automobile related we had when we were younger?
I did have the Aurora HO cars. I thought they were wonderfull toys. I cherished them but they all disapeared.
I also had the British Leyland Match Box cars. They were highly detailed.
Just thought this would be interesting.

This would be cool. It amazing what some of toys will bring these days. Ols Star wars stuff can bring some heavy coin.
I'd have to dig all my stuff out of the storage trailer. Don't really have time right now but we'll see. Hopefully others still have some of their toys.
Had tons of Matchbox car but none made the lifes journy.

That will be cool!
Take your time. I'll try to do the same.
Again, some of these items were highly detailed!
I had some neat Aurora HO cars.
1. 40 Willys "Gasser" style coupe (blue)
2. Tan w/ blk stripes LOLA
3. 67 Red Camaro
4. 67 Yellow Ford Galaxie
Ok, I'll see what I can did up.
Also, pics of current Hot Wheels collections would be interesting.
Stay tuned, no rush.

As far as the old Auroras I think I have the Sunbeam Tiger, Jag XJE, AC Cobra and a Cheetan. Been awhile since I've loooked at them.

spent a lot of time as a kid setting up miles of slot car track. I still have a few of the cars, but no track. Here is a Charger

That's too funny... Those are some very cool toys/cars & displays, I love the old Models, I probably had most of them too, mine were well used & very worn thou...

badmopar67, NICE. Some really cool HO cars. Ford GT, some Chaparrals, Cheetah and my favorit the 917. The 2 orange McLarens, I got to sit in one of those actual cars. Guy had 2 of them. Think only 5 were made.

LOVE IT, Best idea ever!

How did you guys keep them in the original packaging ??... I don't think when I was young, I could even make to the car in the parking lot, let alone save them in the original packaging for years afterwords... I remember always bugging my Mom or especially my Dad {the car guy he was, I think he liked them too} to buy me Hot Wheels, that conveniently were almost always at the "impulse buy racks" @ or near the check out counters at the stores, they were push overs, I got tons of them that way, Dad would go to the store allot more than Mom did, usually for beer or cigerettes, but I would tag alone or was drug alone, then sometimes score a few new toys... ;)

Wow! The collections of "toy" cars are pretty amazing! I've only got one, and it sits on my computer at work, to remind me how lucky I am to own a Charger...

My Dad had an HO 4-lane slot car track growing up and still has it,but it got damaged pretty good in a house fire.

Last year my Dad and i decided to get a new one and we made an awesome setup in the shop. Tell Ya what them Charger/Chevelle Races get intense!!
