I expect a certain level of trust when I have a company do work that I pay them for, and in some cases pay them a lot of money, and as everyone knows about the issues I had with my original body shop and the crap job they did for a lot of money, I find myself in another situation with a different company.
Now mind you, its a small issue, but nonetheless, its still an issue. So, I took my accessories to my engine builder, in good faith that they would use the parts I provided. However, after seeing my motor assembled, I find the water pump I supplied is not what is on the motor. I spent a few extra dollars to get a New mopar performance water pump, with the reinforced housing, and 8 blade impeller. This is not what is installed on my motor, instead its a standard everyday water pump, and not what should be there. I have asked the owner, who assembled the motor where that pump came from, and why its on my motor. Well, he says its what was in the box. My problem, I know that's not what was in the box, and something happened to my original pump while at their shop. Now I am in a touchy situation, because I don't want to accuse them of stealing or losing my original, because I don't want my motor screwed up or something else to go missing.
I guess I will just have to bite the bullet, and order another one, and switch it out when I pick it up Friday, but it really ticks me off, and once again leaves me with a bad taste in mouth and now wondering if everything they said they did for my build is really what was done, and also detracts to my faith on others to do things right!
