Hi

I got a new switch and wiring in the mail today.

Do I have to take off the whole column to replace the switch and the wiring?

What is the easiest way. I have the steering column dropped right now.

the ignition has a ring with slots on the outside take a flat head and tap it counter clockwise it'll unscrew releasing the ignition. Not sure on the wiring. Sorry, I just realized it's on the column. I don't know how they are held on if it's the same or not.

If you want to get an intelligent answer to your question, you could at least provide enough information so we know WHAT CAR you are working on. Not every Mopar is identical and not everyone has the same car as you.

The FSM for whatever it is you are working on will have all the info you need to remove the ignition switch PLUS tell you how to put it back in.
