Don't care what your combo is....just wondering how fast you've gone with stock ported headed heads. Me....10.50......what say you?

did 11.02 in my 68 charger.
did 10.92 in my 71 challenger.

So far mid to high 12's but I'm not done yet.

I went 11.0's in my '66 Coronet. There was probably more but they cracked and I scrapped them and went to aluminum.

440- 915 heads- ported with big valves
Best was 10.70

13.85 with a 360 in a 4100lbs Cordoba and think there's a little more in it.

How about engine size, mods, trans, gears....you know....HOW did you get those times with stock heads...

I was kinda like the OP. I wasn't worried with all that...but I did want to know cubes. I can do all the rest myself. ;)

Getting low ET using stock heads usually involves much more than good head work. For example a buddy has a 72 Demon with a 318 with stock bottom end (115k miles) and 360 heads with a good pocket job and not much else were done to the heads. The car started out with a 4.10 gear but ended up with 4.88's just because they were laying around. My buddy didn't want to try the gears because he figured they were too deep but I plugged then in because I wanted to see what happened lol. The ET Streets launched ok (stock converter) but the car blew them off on the 1-2 shift so a set of 9x29" slicks went on. They too were in the corner and the ET's were too short for the 88's anyways. The car ended up running 13.50 @ 102. The engine comes alive at 3000 and goes to 6200 before going flat. Btw, there are lots of threads here with build info but I just wanted to see what people were doing with factory modified stuff. I had a pair of ported 906's that flowed just as good as out of the box Eddy RPM's but the Eddy's were still a better head in the real world....

11.40's with my old stock stroke 440 and 906 heads. Ron
