I was a Reb (Co F, 12th Reg GVI, Doles-Cook Brigade, Rhodes Div, 2nd Corp, ANV).

Was in the hobby for 12 years 1989-2001 and was at many of the mega events:

130th Gettysburg, Wilderness
134th Gettysburg
135th Gettysburg, Sharpsburg
137th Chancellorsville

Being in CT, mostly did events in MA, CT, RI & NY.

Me at the 135th of Sharpsburg.

The way things are going, they might get to reenact it for real! Lol
In 2005 My son and I visited D day Normandy beaches for a week in the summer. On the weekend we stumbled on the assembly of D Day local reenactors for a later in the day presentation.
It was kind of humorous. they were arguing over who would get to play the Americans in the invasion.

A Johnny Reb in CT, you say?
I was all into metal detecting and the history of the war between the states as a teenager in VA.
Good history lessons learned; other expensive hobbies eventually made me lose interet over time
(hello Mopar world!). :)

Well lol, I'm actually trapped behind enemy lines.
I was born in Danville, VA and my mom's family is from the South.

My dad's family is from the North.

Metal Detecting is another hobby of mine, been doing that since 2010. I hit old sites/cellar holes in the woods.
