How do I identify a stock steel 1965 Coronet wheel: Part number 2298523 14" X 5.5" k.
1) Is the part number stamped on the wheel?
2) Is the year stamped?
3) Any other markings?

Can't believe no one out there has an original wheel they can check?

I have some 67's I can positively ID and about a dozen 60's wheels I'm not sure about exactly except that they came from 60's Mopars.

There are subtle differences in the stampings and attachments.

I also suspect that different assembly plants could have used different suppliers and/or had different batches in any given model year.

All of mine (about 25 in total) look the same from 15 feet away, but when you start looking closely and measuring things the differences start to pop out.

I started cataloging them but ran out of note taking space on the duct tape I was using to note the differences and stick on the wheels.

The pn is NOT stamped on the wheel.
The size usually is by the valve stem or lug webbing.
The year can be indicated on the rim , inside by the sizing stampings by a large letter with a small number inside the letter, indicating the year.
A 65 will have the 5 guide holes between the lug holes. 66 was a change year where often fewer guide holes were drilled.
