How to remove brake light switch/bracket?

Looking to get some info on how to take off brakelight switch. The bolt to take the bracket off is practically inaccessible it seems, not sure on any other way.

The bolt needs to come out. There is a way with the right socket and extension.

You can get the bolt without dropping the column.

I just moved mine with a 1/4 ratchet and extension and 7/16 socket. Kind of a pain in butt but can be done without moving column.

The column is so easy to move.

Screws in dash plastic cover
2 nuts and 1 bolt underdash
4 bolts in firewall plate.
