I'm picking up my first b-body this week. I'm not sure if it will fit on the trailer I have though. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how long and how wide the 73 roadrunner is so I can figure out if I can get it on my trailer or not.

I can tell you that the orange U-haul trailer is not wide enough, the newer silver is. Found that out when I bought my '74 Charger.

the trailer I have that I haul my bobcat on is 82 inches from fender to fender. Hate to get there and not have the car fit on it.

Thanks yellowdartdave. Do you know where there measuring from in those measurments? Is it wheel to wheel, fender to fender?

The overall length is 210.8 inches for 2-door and 213.3 inches for the 4-door; bumper to bumper.

Most of those bobcat trailers only have a 12 or 14 foot deck.If its 14 it night work.

towing

I towed my 74 Charger from Vermont to Florida on a U-Haul auto transport with no issues what so ever. I also own a retired U-Haul tow dolly and I have towed both my 74 Charger and my 73 Satelite Sebring again with no issues. U-Haul equipment is relatively cheap to rent and will get the job done for you with no issues, and if there are they fix it. Gregg

D-Rock,
The width listed is at the widest part of the body.
Since the body curves inward the closer it gets to the ground, you can probably take 5-6 inches off the listed spec at the tires.

Maybe somebody here can measure their car at the top of the tire vs. the center of the tire.

Well, my trailer deck is 82"x214' so sounds like the car should fit.
