Long story short - a friend of a friend, years ago I gotta add, built my third member for me. Deal was for my 67 8 3/4, change to 3.55 gears, plus suregrip.
So, of course, been building things for the car, motor, and such, going by 3.55 gears.

Finally fixed my rear leak, my fault, had the damn third member in my hands, and being the dumbass, did not look at numbers. You know, that assuming bit.

While the rear wheels are still up, decided to check. 3 and 1/4 turns at the third member. A 3.23 gear.

Friends are friends, right???

So...(like I can afford to do anything about it) motor wise, any effect on things, cam, since I was building for 3.55 gears? Just curious about any thoughts.
Any other words would have to be bleeped.

Less than 10% difference, you'll be in first gear a couple mph higher. If you have a higher stall already, that will compensate a bit as well.

Appreciate it, guys. Yeah, don't think it'll be much difference. Bummed out on the deal. What I get for trusting someone, and not doing it myself.
